SUMMARY:How to Care Give During Times of Grief and Loss Workshop
DESCRIPTION:This recorded workshop is open to foster and kinship caregivers\, social workers\, and others connected to fostering. Originally offered in April 2025\, the workshop recording will be available for limited time viewing. Grief and loss are part of the fostering experience\, and caregivers may support multiple placements with complex needs\, making these challenges especially difficult. Presenter Ashleigh Martinflatt explores how caregivers can provide care during times of grief and loss\, with a focus on deaths related to overdose and suicide. Ashleigh is a registered social worker\, clinical counsellor\, and post-secondary instructor who teaches trauma\, child abuse\, and neglect in Social Work and Child and Youth Care degree programs.
