DESCRIPTION:Enhancing the Fostering Experience for Biological Children of Parents Who Foster \nWednesday\, March 12th\, 9:30am to 12:00 noon \nPresented by Vicki Bridge\, RMFT Open to foster caregivers. \nDo you and your biological or adopted children share the family nest with foster children? Are you curious or concerned what impact being part of a foster family will have on your children? In this learning opportunity\, Vicki will provide a bird’s eye view of three adaptive family structures foster caregivers have used as a guide for balancing the complex and often competing needs of all foster family members. In addition\, we will discuss some practical tips on ways to enhance your child’s foster caregiving experience and ensure their voices are heard. Vicki Bridge is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist\, (RMFT)\, a member of the B.C. Branch of the Canadian Association for Couple and Family Therapy\, (CACFT)\, and a Clinical Fellow of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy\, (AAMFT). As a life long foster parent Vicki has deep roots in the Victoria area foster caregiving community.
