The Caregiver Learning Network (CLN) is a province-wide collaboration of caregiver support agencies that develops accessible virtual learning opportunities for foster caregivers, kinship care providers, and contracted agency caregivers in BC. Its goal is to enhance caregiver knowledge, skills, and abilities, and to strengthen a healthy caregiving network. CLN is funded by the Ministry of Children and Family Development and works in partnership with organizations such as BCFPA, Indigenous Perspectives Society (IPS), the Federation of Community Social Services of BC, and Parent Support Services Society.

Through its website, CLN highlights on-demand and live workshops, a history of past offerings, and shared resources from coordinators across the province. Key resources include the Caring Families Society Tuition Guide for youth in and from care, the Caring Families Society Education Guide, the Foster Family Handbook, Standards for Foster Homes, Resource Work Policies, Children and Youth in Care Policies, and information on FOIPPA and out-of-care policies. These materials support caregivers in understanding policy, legislation, education pathways, and best practices in caregiving.

The Caregiver Learning Management System (CLMS), hosted at learn.fpsss.com, is the online learning platform available to all caregivers in BC, including foster caregivers, kinship/out-of-care family, and social workers. Users can log in to view past workshop documents and recorded webinars, download certificates, and register for new and upcoming workshops. New users register for a free membership, which is reviewed within two working days; once approved, they gain access to a membership page with links to courses, events, and resources tailored to their role.

The CLMS offers a calendar of upcoming workshops, webinars, events, and courses, with options to filter by region or view offerings across BC and online. Membership types—foster caregiver, kinship family, or social worker—determine access to specific events and learning resources designed to meet distinct needs. The CLMS is supplied by the Caring Families Society, with funding provided by PSACLN, and functions as the central online hub for caregiver education and support in BC.

Welcome to our new website! The Foster Parents Support Services Society (FPSSS) is now the Caring Families Society. We still are the same organization, supporting BC family caregivers with a wide range of education and support services.
