Becoming a Behavioural Detective

Wednesday, April 16th, 9:00am to 4:30pm Facilitated by Kim Barthel, OTR This workshop is open to Foster caregivers, Out of Care /Kinship caregivers, and Social Workers province wide. In this virtual event Kim will teach about understanding and supporting complex behaviour, neuro-diverse affirming practice, developmental disabilities (FASD and ASD), and holistic, strength-based, culturally respectful interventions that are attuned to individual situations as well as self-care in a professional context. Kim will provide a deeper understanding of why people do what they do. The focus will be on complex and challenging behaviour and using clinical reasoning to look well beyond the surface actions we observe.
